eMedia Applications Developer      1998-present

á       Working collaboratively with Holt Rinehart editorial, marketing and production team members, develop Internet and CD-ROM-based ancillary instructional materials to support Holt RinehartÕs textbooks.

á       Video-production  and QuickTimeª streaming-media specialist for eMedia.

á       Recent projects include:  Directed, shot, and edited 12 vignettes for Spanish Language DVD: developed prototype media viewer for user controlled playback: worked with HRW-IT Unix specialist to launch Apple QuickTimeª streaming-media server.

á       Specified and acted as liaison with outside vendor for installation of Final Cut Pro video editing system.

á       Routine duties include assessing and integrating new technologies and  best practices, prototype and proof-of-concept design, production work-flow design, media and web troubleshooting and QA/QC as needed,

á       Key participant in design of eMedia production spaces and audio sound booth for HRW office building completed June 2001.

Texas Association of School Boards, Texas Learning Technology Group

á       Developed CD-ROM-based curriculum support materials marketed by Texas Association of School Boards, including SALUT (science curriculum for students with Spanish as first language).

á       Clients include: ABC- Good Morning America, three Farm Aid concerts, CBS- WillieÕs Big Six 0, HBO- Willie and Family Live, Holt, Rinehart and Winston, Inc. (industry marketing tool); Tecom, Inc. (promotional marketing tool); Ballet Austin.

        

Theatrical Lighting
University of Texas Performing Arts Center

Lighting Supervisor         1985-1992

á       Responsible for all aspects of stage lighting in the PACÕs seven theaters.

á       Routine duties included lighting design, materials and labor budgeting, assessing and adopting best practices, and coordinating with multiple production departments.

á       Represented the University of Texas as liaison with touring productions, guest artists, and other outside users.

á       Managed and scheduled professional and student stage electricians.

á       Taught stage lighting and stagecraft to graduate and undergraduate Fine Arts students enrolled in Drama Department core curriculum.

á       Specified, purchased, and oversaw installation of $25,000 state-of-the-art networkable lighting system.

á       Developed CAD system to streamline management of PAC lighting resources.
